Important: The Wise County Sheriff's Posse is a civilian nonprofit corporation that supports law enforcement. It is not a law enforcement agency, and members may not participate in law enforcement action of any kind. It is a criminal offense in Texas to impersonate a peace officer. Any member who claims or implies law enforcement authority will be immediately dismissed.
